Financing Programme Portugal 20230

Portugal 2030 puts into practice the Partnership Agreement between Portugal and the European Commission to apply 23 billion euros from the Funds to the development of the Portuguese economy by 2027.

These funds are used to support people, companies and other organisations to develop initiatives that make our country increasingly cohesive internally and competitive externally.

• A country where people come first - through a better demographic balance, greater inclusion and less inequality;

• Innovation, digitalisation and qualifications are the main drivers of development;

• Climate transition and resource sustainability are vital.

Portugal 2030 funds will be distributed through programmes, organised by themes and regions.

The thematic programmes support projects according to their area of intervention.

There are 4 programmes, dedicated to:

• Demography, qualifications and inclusion

• Innovation and the digital transition

• Climate action and sustainability, and

• The Sea

The regional programmes support initiatives according to the region of the country in which they are located.

There are 5 programmes dedicated to the regions of the continent:

• North

• Centre

• Lisbon

• Alentejo

• Algarve

And two programmes dedicated to the Autonomous Regions:

• Azores

• Madeira

The technical assistance programme is designed to support the management and implementation activities of Portugal 2030 and to build the capacity of all the entities involved in implementing European funds.

In addition to these, there are the European Territorial Cooperation Programmes in which Portugal participates.
